The Canada Red Chokecherries were at their peak of ripeness this week. And the trees along the city boulevards were LOADED with fruit. I barely touched 1/3 of the fruit and I got 70 pounds off of three trees. Wish I could reach higher.
Cook Prairie Wines – a new beginning
June 19, 2011 by Leave a Comment
Welcome to Greg Ferments. I have been making homemade wines in North Dakota since 2000 and had a web site called “Cook Prairie Wines” since the beginning. Well, that web site has lain dormant since about 2006. Although my winemaking has been slow the last couple of years I certainly have more to share in the winemaking department. So, this blog is born. I hope to chronicle my winemaking efforts and provide tasting information on my home wines as well as other wines from the local area. Bear with me as I build this site and try to get my old content loaded into the pages here.
