If you love ports, you know how wonderful they can be. I once heard that a nice ruby or tawny port goes well with chocolate, nuts and caramel. So, of course I immediately paired a 20 year old vintage port with a snickers bar and it was a match made in heaven. Ports are just one type of sweet and/or fortified dessert wines. And these wines are not necessarily just for pairing with desserts. Sauternes, the famous sweet rich white wine from France is a perfect player with fois gras. And cheeses are also exquisite with dessert wines. What would you accompany an ice style maple wine with? Well come find out at our next wine tasting event.
We invite you to experience the world of sweet wines that will be sure to please every palate. You will find these to be rich and satisfying and definitely sipping wines rather than swigging wines. You will be able to experience a range of wines from sauternes and sherries to ports and specialty wines. So, please join us on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 – and don’t forget to bring your sweetie for a pre-Valentines day experience.
