Who doesn’t love blended wines? Most wines have more than one grape variety in them even if they only list one on the label. Different varieties provide different components to a wine to round out it’s flavors, aromas and textures. Some of the grapes used for blending are rare as single varietals. And there are so many different grapes the you may not have heard of that are commonly blended into various white and red wines. Have you heard of Picpoul? Gros Manseng? How about Cabernet Franc? We will be exploring unusual single varietal wines at this month’s wine tasting. Please join us for Blended Wines – deconstructed.
