Nebbiolo is a red grape variety that is predominantly grown in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. It is known for producing wines that are high in tannins and acidity, with complex aromas and flavors of cherry, raspberry, tar, and rose petals. These wines typically have a long aging potential, with some of the best examples improving for several decades in the bottle. The most famous Nebbiolo wines are Barolo and Barbaresco, both of which are made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in designated areas within the Piedmont region. We are excited to explore the complex flavors and aromas that make Nebbiolo wines so special and to learn more about this fascinating grape variety. Join us on Saturday, May 13 for an incredible tour through Piedmont.
