The Rogue River in southern Oregon is a favorite for rafters looking for exciting white water to traverse. Actually the Rogue Valley is comprised of three different valleys that produce spectacular wines – the Bear Creek Valley, the Applegate Valley and the Illinois valley. These valleys are different in climate – the Bear Creek Valley is warm and dry and similar to Bordeaux whereas the Applegate Valley is warmer and drier than Illinois valley to its west but not as warm as Bear Creek Valley. Our own Bill Brunton has sources some spectacular selections of wines from this region that we will taste at our next AWS wine tasting. You will not want to miss it.
